Jeffrey Woo has been a registered nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board since 2006. After completing his general Diploma in Nursing qualification at Nanyang Polytechnic, he worked primarily in the field of renal and diabetes clinical nursing. Jeffrey's academic interest initially followed his clinical interests, and he completed his hospital-based Certificate in Renal Nursing at the National Kidney Foundation, Singapore, followed by the Specialist Diploma in Health Promotion, Specialist Diploma in Nursing (Diabetes Management & Education), Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Chronic Disease Management), and Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Management) at Nanyang Polytechnic. He had later undertaken the Degree of Bachelor of Nursing at Curtin University, advancing to the Degree of Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) at the University of Sydney, having to receive the University of Sydney Honours Scholarship for international students and graduated with an Upper Second Class Honours. He further undertook the Graduate Certificate in Teaching & Learning (Higher Education) and Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education at Nanyang Technological University/National Institute of Education. He further pursued and completed the Degree of Master of Health Services Management at Griffith University. His outstanding academic performance earned him the Griffith Award for Academic Excellence 2018 and 2019, further leading him to be awarded the Griffith University International Student Academic Merit Scholarship, and he graduated with a distinction by achieving a program GPA of 6.5/7.0. Presently, he is pursuing the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Nursing) at Curtin University as a PhD candidate, having been awarded the Curtin Overseas Postgraduate Research Scholarship (COPRS) by Curtin University.
Jeffrey further undertook and completed his 2021 ACHSM Fellowship Program (by examination) and was conferred the status of a Fellow of the Australasian College of Health Service Management (ACHSM) and Hong Kong College of Health Service Executives (HKCHSE). He was also recognized as a Certified Health Executive (CHE) of ACHSM. He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), having completed his Learning & Teaching pathway training for HEA under the sponsorship of Griffith University. He is also recognized as an Advanced Certified Industry Trainer by the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and was a certified trainer by the Institute of Adult Learning (IAL), having completed his Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP). He serves as an active member of the Upsilon Eta Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma Nursing) and is the current Vice President and Board Member of Upsilon Eta Chapter, Sigma Nursing, in charge of the chapter Leadership Succession Committee.
